Sebastian Katz is an award-winning composer and conductor whose music can be heard on television and radio stations around the world. Recently, Sebastian’s music has been featured on eight albums in one of the largest commercial music production libraries in Los Angeles. He’s also written a main title theme for a CBS Interactive original program, and co-produced a highly successful album of instrumental underscore geared towards dramatic television applications. When he is not in the writer’s chair, Sebastian doubles as a technical consultant and engineer to many of the most successful composers in Hollywood.
From an early age, Sebastian received intensive instruction in classical composition, orchestration and conducting, in addition to instrumental studies on piano, guitar, trombone, and Afro-Cuban percussion. Sebastian is an alumnus of the internationally renowned Berklee College Of Music, where he was the recipient of the Michael Kamen Scholarship For Outstanding Musicianship. He graduated magna cum laude, and received a Baccalaureate of Music in Film Scoring.
